Sarah Schoolman (She/Her)
Group Leader

Bio

Teaching can be both joyful and deeply exhausting, especially in a world that often asks educators to give more than they have. I facilitate support groups for teachers because I believe no one should have to carry the weight of the classroom alone.

My own journey in education has included roles as an upper elementary teacher, building technology coordinator, and curriculum writer. I now serve in the Special Collections department of a public library where I create educational programs and lead outreach for teachers. I hold a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Purdue Fort Wayne, but it’s the honest conversations with fellow educators that have taught me the most.

In our support groups, my goal is to create space where teachers feel safe, connected, and reminded of their worth--not just as professionals, but as people. This work matters to me because I’ve felt the burnout, the self-doubt, and the quiet moments of wondering if it’s still worth it. And I’ve also seen that when teachers feel seen and supported, they rediscover their strength.

Outside of work, I live in Indiana with my husband and our young child. I spend my free time reading on the porch, working on our fixer-upper, or figuring out how to keep our little orchard alive, one season at a time!
