Bio
Approach to Therapy
Haley believes that intentionality is critical in many areas of life, but particularly in the
therapeutic setting. She focuses on ensuring that her therapeutic environment is calm and
comforting, making it a safer space for her clients to share their experiences. With her strong
listening skills, she approaches each client with empathy, welcoming their true selves.
Haley sees therapy as a mutual relationship rather than a one-sided experience, working
collaboratively with clients to find meaningful and effective ways to process their journeys.
Mind/Body Connection
Haley strongly believes that trauma is not only stored in the mind, but also embedded in the
body. This perspective highlights her practices emphasis on combined mind, body, and spiritual
care. Haley offers Brainspotting, a psychotherapy technique that utilizes eye movements
to help clients process difficult emotions and traumatic experiences. Haley also understands that
safety is vital for effectively processing distressing events and living with chronic pain. Therefore,
she prioritizes building rapport and establishing security in the therapeutic relationship before delving
into deep trauma work. She also employs a strength-based perspective and utilizes artistic expression
to assist clients in navigating their trauma.
Personal and Professional Experience
Haley acknowledges the importance of lived experiences and professional training,
understanding that each plays a vital role in providing a well-rounded perspective. In addition to
being a trained therapist currently under supervision, she is a mother, intimate partner violence
survivor advocate, birth trauma survivor, and parent advocate for a child with disabilities.
Having navigated various community systems personally and professionally, she deeply
understands the challenges many clients face. She is here to offer compassionate support as they
navigate these processes and connect them to vital community resources as needed.
