
Dr. Carl Frizell (He/Him)

Bio
Carl A. Frizell (he/him), a late-diagnosed autistic/ADHD Physician Associate (PA) and native
of rural Holmes County, Mississippi, brings extensive clinical experience spanning medical
oncology, occupational medicine, and internal medicine. His academic achievements include a
Master of Science in PA Studies and a Doctor of Medical Sciences, and he is currently pursuing
a PhD in Change Leadership.
Drawing from his unique perspective as a neurodivergent healthcare professional, he brings
valuable insights to both clinical practice and advocacy work. After transitioning from clinical
practice to PA education, his experiences as a neurodivergent educator sparked a passionate
commitment to social justice, disability justice, and neurodiversity advocacy. His contributions
to PA education were recognized with the 2022 New Faculty Award from the PA Education
Association.
Frizell, a respected speaker and published author, has contributed numerous articles on
neurodiversity acceptance in healthcare and education. His work focuses on validating the
experiences of neurodivergent individuals while advocating for systemic changes in healthcare
and educational institutions. He combines his clinical expertise with advocacy work to create a
more inclusive and understanding healthcare environment. He now dedicates his practice at
LBee Health to providing culturally competent mental health services to neurodivergent
individuals and others who think and process differently.​​
